Meet Jewel Martin, M.Ed

About Me

My journey in education began over 15 years ago as a tutor for a group of homeschooled students. Working one-on-one with them ignited a lifelong passion: helping learners unlock their true potential. That foundation deepened when I spent six years homeschooling my own sons while continuing to tutor part-time, tailoring educational experiences to unique needs and interests.

Over the years, my path naturally expanded across generations. Whether working with adolescents or adults, I noticed a striking common thread: the heavy, negative narrative they often replay in their minds, believing they aren’t "intelligent enough" to master new skills. Dismantling that mindset became my mission. I work diligently with my students of all ages to change that narrative, replace self-doubt with confidence, and prove that learning is a lifelong journey.

In 2020, I earned my Master's Degree in Adult Learning and Workforce Education. That same year, I stepped into the classroom as an Instructional Assistant, earning a promotion to teacher in 2021. Following that role, I began teaching elementary school students full-time, building foundational reading, decoding, and academic confidence in young learners. In 2022, I expanded my academic footprint even further by becoming a professor at Commissioned University, teaching college prep writing.

Whether I am guiding an elementary student, a high schooler, or an adult learner, my love for teaching spans every stage of life. My teaching philosophy centers on creating an inclusive, engaging environment where every student feels valued, equipped, and empowered to break out of old limitations.

That same drive—watching someone finally realize they can learn and grow—is what led me to create She Masters Tech Academy. Let’s be real: if you’ve spent your whole life being the anchor for everyone else, it’s easy to end up stuck in a box of tech confusion because you didn't understand. But I look at Isaiah 43:19—"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." My mission here is simple: to walk right beside you, strip away the confusing jargon, and give women 45 and older the patient, no-nonsense tech support they deserve to master the tools, and reinvent themselves with total confidence.
